While traveling to Europe, the X-Men are rerouted to a high-stakes confrontation in the Balkans after Professor X discovers the secret lair of his old nemesis, Lucifer. The situation turns dire when the Professor learns that the villain has linked a catastrophic thermal bomb to his own heartbeat, meaning his death would trigger a global disaster. When the Avengers arrive to neutralize the threat, the X-Men are forced into a desperate skirmish with Earth’s Mightiest Heroes to prevent them from inadvertently detonating the device. Ultimately, Xavier utilizes a precise mental strike to stun Lucifer, allowing Cyclops to use a surgical optic blast to defuse the fuse and save the world.
