Following a request from Professor X, Cannonball leads X-Force on a high-stakes mission to rescue their former teammates, Rusty and Skids, from the militant anti-mutant group known as the Friends of Humanity. While the team successfully infiltrates the enemy compound and overpowers the guards, they discover that their rescued friends remain deeply brainwashed by Stryfe's past influence. Meanwhile, a mysterious figure in Earth's orbit begins to manipulate magnetic fields to reconstruct the remains of the Graymalkin space station. Amidst the action, the shifting loyalties of Vanessa and the growing threat of human prejudice leave the team questioning if peace between species is truly possible.
