Following the destruction of Cable's space station Graymalkin, Lila Cheney teleports X-Force back to Earth just as the SHIELD team attempts to arrest them. While Cannonball and Sunspot manage a harrowing reentry in an escape pod, the rest of the team salvages a cache of advanced weaponry that plummeted to their Arizona base. The hard-won reunion is cut short by a grim ultimatum from the Externals, who reveal they have captured Boomer, Warpath, and Siryn. To save his teammates from certain death, Sam Guthrie must face a desperate choice: surrender himself to Gideon and Saul or watch his friends perish.
