Trapped within a high-tech Mojave Desert laboratory, a powerless Eddie Brock must join forces with Spider-Man to survive a brutal onslaught from five newly spawned symbiote warriors. While Carlton Drake and the Life Foundation attempt to field-test their lethal new "guardsmen," Brock manages to reunite with his own alien other just in time to turn the tide of battle. Using a metabolic accelerator, Venom appears to disintegrate his monstrous offspring into dust, though the resulting chaos triggers a self-destruct sequence that levels the secret compound. Amidst the fiery explosion, the uneasy allies are separated, leaving Spider-Man to wonder if his lethal counterpart survived the carnage.
