Relocating to San Francisco to escape his past in New York, Eddie Brock attempts to start anew as a lethal protector of the innocent. His vigilante efforts quickly draw unwanted attention from both the local police and a vengeful group of armored mercenaries known as The Jury. While Spider-Man heads west to investigate his old foe's whereabouts, Venom discovers a hidden subterranean city populated by the homeless, only to be confronted by the sinister Life Foundation and their plans to harvest his symbiote.
