As the sinister Gamesmaster gathers the Upstarts to declare Forge the next target in their deadly mutant-hunting game, a desperate race for survival begins in Dallas. While Colossus keeps a somber vigil over his ailing sister Illyana at the Xavier Institute, Forge and Mystique find themselves ruthlessly pursued through Eagle Plaza by the futuristic villain Trevor Fitzroy. Tensions mount as Storm and Bishop rush to the scene, only to witness a devastating explosion that leaves the fate of their allies hanging in the balance.
