During a televised showcase of his most bizarre transformations, Jimmy Olsen is suddenly abducted by an alien known as the Collector and transported to a distant world. There, he is tormented by duplicate versions of his own past identities, including a gluttonous fat Jimmy and a terrifying wolfman. When even Superman seemingly refuses to intervene, Jimmy must rely on his own wits to expose a elaborate ruse involving lead microphones and the Legion of Super-Heroes. This harrowing ordeal ultimately reveals itself as a secret initiation test, earning the plucky reporter an honorary membership in the prestigious 30th-century team.
