Following his hard-won victory against the Red Skull, Doctor Doom honors his pledge to help Namor awaken the comatose citizens of Atlantis. Upon their arrival, they find the kingdom under siege by an army led by Warlord Krang, forcing the two uneasy allies to unite against the usurper. While the Sub-Mariner battles Krang’s forces and a summoned sea beast known as the Blasphemous Horror, Doom successfully revives the Atlanteans and effortlessly defeats Krang in a duel. With his people restored and his throne reclaimed, Namor severs his alliance with the Latverian monarch, who departs in a state of quiet envy over the genuine love the Atlanteans hold for their king.
