Shrunk to the size of mice by a mysterious blast, the unlikely duo of Captain America and Doctor Doom must navigate the treacherous terrain of Castle Doom to reclaim the throne from the Red Skull. While the Skull attempts to manipulate the Sub-Mariner into a dark alliance, the miniature heroes face deadly hazards, including a giant snake, in their desperate quest to reach the throne room. After being restored to full size, a fierce battle erupts that leaves the Red Skull cornered, only for the mortally wounded Prince Rudolfo to trigger a teleporter that sends the villain to a hidden lunar base. The issue ends on a high-stakes cliffhanger, setting the stage for a cosmic confrontation on the surface of the moon.
