In the dystopian future of Nueva York, brilliant geneticist Miguel O'Hara attempts to quit the corrupt Alchemax corporation, only to be blackmailed with a DNA-bonding drug. In a desperate bid to purge the toxin from his system, Miguel undergoes an experimental procedure that is sabotaged by a jealous colleague, splicing his genetic code with that of a spider. Now endowed with razor-sharp talons, organic webbing, and enhanced senses, he dons a commemorative Day of the Dead costume to evade the relentless Public Eye security force. This reluctant hero must now navigate a high-tech cityscape while beginning his crusade against the megacorporations that control his world.
