Clinging to the walls of the Terran Affairs Headquarters with his lethal talons, Spawn infiltrates the embassy of Heaven to liberate his captured friend, Bobby. Inside, he holds a mysterious and powerful old woman named Mary hostage, successfully bluffing his way through a tense standoff with the angelic Rafael to force Bobby's release. As the hellish antihero escapes the building with a necroplasmic explosion, he finds himself face-to-face with a mutated new costume and the looming threat of the Redeemer.
