Haunted by memories of his past, Al Simmons yearns to reconnect with his wife, Wanda, yet he is paralyzed by the fear of how she will view his horrific new form. He pushes his dark abilities to the limit in a desperate attempt to reconstruct his former face, but the supernatural transformation yields only grotesque failure. Drained of energy and hope, the hell-born warrior sinks into exhaustion, only to be met by the cruel mockery of a vulgar, face-painted dwarf known as the Violator.
