In a surreal landscape known as Simmonsville, a town forged from Al Simmons' stolen memories and shifting psychoplasm, unsuspecting soldiers are slaughtered by demonic entities. While Spawn grapples with his fragmented identity and the horrifying discovery of his own physical remains in a Virginia grave, the agents of Heaven prepare a drastic countermeasure. Seeking to restore a balance they believe has tipped too far toward Hell, celestial forces select CIA chief Jason Wynn as their vessel. Imbued with elemental fire, Wynn is transformed into the Anti-Spawn, an armored instrument of divine wrath destined to eliminate the Hellspawn once and for all.
