When the Silver Surfer intervenes to protect a mysterious Alpine castle from a rioting mob, he unwittingly falls into the clutches of Ludwig von Frankenstein, the obsessed descendant of the infamous doctor. Seeking a powerful host to animate his latest experiment, the Count siphons the Power Cosmic into a lifeless clay figure to create a mindless, malevolent doppelganger of the sentinel. As the false Surfer descends upon the terrified villagers to exact Frankenstein’s revenge, the real Norrin Radd must break free and engage in a devastating aerial duel against his own mirrored might. The cosmic clash rages from the mountain peaks into the depths of space, where the Surfer must find a way to reclaim his stolen essence before the Frankenstein legacy consumes the world.
