As Galactus's herald, Nova, searches for a new planet to satiate his hunger, the Silver Surfer safely returns the Fantastic Four to Earth. The Surfer soon crosses paths with Nova again, and their cosmic discussion on the morality of sacrificing inhabited worlds is abruptly interrupted by a fierce attack from Firelord. The conflict stems from a misunderstanding involving Eros, Firelord, and the villain Reptyl, who targeted the Silver Surfer in their search for Nebula. During the chaotic battle, Eros utilizes his powers to quell the aggression and prevent a disaster.
