Nick Fury and his Howling Commandos parachute onto Tarawa with a high-stakes mission: extract a vital Australian spotter, Rolfe Harrison, before a major U.S. invasion. The Japanese, however, spring a trap, capturing the entire squad. In a heroic twist, the spotter they came to rescue breaks them out of the prison camp, leading to a harrowing escape where the Howlers must abandon Izzy, who is now facing "special interrogation" by the commandant.
