Laid low and comatose after his recent battle with Firefall, the Spaceknight Rom is helpless in a laboratory. His human allies, Brandy Clark and Brent Jackson, desperately try to revive him. Seeing their chance, the sinister Dire Wraiths unleash their deadly Thornoids—semi-sentient, thorny plants—in a vicious attack designed to finish Rom off while he is still vulnerable.
