The Spaceknight Rom, alongside Starshine and Rick Jones, discovers a horrific train massacre committed by the insidious Dire Wraiths. The sole survivor of the attack is a young girl, cursed with the mind of a Dire Wraith trapped inside her after her mother sacrificed herself to save her. Rom must now confront this unique and tragic danger to help the girl and continue his battle against the alien shapeshifters.
