Frank Castle awakens in a jail cell in the small town of Laastekist, his fingerprints already sent to the authorities and drawing the attention of both federal agents and deadly crime syndicates. As the Vaducci family and the Righteous Ones converge on the location, the vigilante warns Sheriff Bendix of the impending bloodbath, but his pleas for release fall on deaf ears. The situation spirals into chaos when the town's power station is sabotaged, leaving the sheriff to defend his station and his daughter from a coordinated assault. With the town becoming a battlefield, Castle must convince the lawman to arm him before they are both overrun by the rising tide of criminals.
