In the wake of a traumatic encounter, Rahne and Bobby find themselves trapped in a state of distress that defies conventional medical and psychic intervention. As their condition continues to deteriorate despite his best efforts, Professor Xavier realizes that traditional methods will no longer suffice to save his students. Desperate to restore them, he turns his gaze toward the enigmatic vigilante duo Cloak and Dagger, whose unique abilities might be the only key to purging the lingering darkness.
