As Onslaught's mental attack strikes, the Hulk defies Captain America's tactical plan to tend to the wounded, choosing instead to directly confront Onslaught, which is against expectations. He battles Onslaught alongside a small group of volunteers, despite the risks, to protect the suffering. The Hulk eventually returns to the other heroes, but the group who went with him no longer trusts him.
