The super-team finds themselves facing an unexpected attack as the villain Diablo targets them individually with elemental monsters. Mr. Fantastic, Human Torch, and The Thing are each forced into separate battles against creatures of earth, wind, fire, and water. Despite being scattered, the heroes must put aside their internal squabbles and combine their powers in a tactical maneuver to defeat the monstrous threats and save the day.
