When Belasco kidnaps Amanda Sefton's demon mother, the Excalibur team decides to mount a rescue mission, despite her recent role in nearly destroying London. Belasco thwarts their initial attempt by sending them spiraling through time and space, where they encounter various alternate versions of themselves. Ultimately, the team fails to free Margali, who remains in Belasco's custody, though Pete Wisdom and Kitty Pryde share a tender moment, exchanging "I love yous" amidst the chaos.
