The dread otherworldly sorcerer Dormammu breaks through into our reality, materializing in Arizona after absorbing the vast essence of the Earth spirit Gaea. As fellow mystics gather at the Sanctum Sanctorum to offer aid, Doctor Strange stubbornly refuses their help and transports himself directly into the desert to confront the flame-headed giant. The battle takes a treacherous turn when Dormammu's twin sister, Umar, attempts a shocking betrayal to steal his power for herself, only to be caught in a complex web of family revelations involving Clea's true heritage. Ultimately, Clea risks everything to free Gaea from her restraints, turning the tide of the mystical conflict and banishing the dark entities back to their own dimension.
