As Bruce Gordon seeks to harness the dark power of Eclipso, Batman finds himself in a race against time to secure the black-diamond shards. While one shard is already in his possession, the remaining two are held in the Gotham Police evidence lockup, having been part of a recent heist. Unbeknownst to Dr. Gordon, Commissioner Gordon is consumed by rage on this fateful night, still reeling from the Joker's attack on his niece a year prior, which left her paralyzed—a rage only amplified by the Joker's fresh escape from Arkham. The city's fate hangs in the balance as the Caped Crusader navigates a conspiracy woven with personal vendettas and supernatural threats.
