Michael is a man who has learned to conquer his deepest fears, an ability that allows him to perceive and enter a hidden quantum world existing parallel to our own reality. He soon discovers he is not alone in this realm, but the other individuals who traverse the Substratum possess far less noble motives, including the villainous Chasm. When Michael interferes with Chasm's brutal activities, his escape fearlessly thrusts him into a dimension filled with previously invisible monsters, forcing him to fight for the innocent and discover the dark truths of his new world. He must now confront these new threats that challenge his understanding of reality.
