The United States teeters on the brink of collapse as the villainous Mandrill initiates a total takeover, holding other heroes at bay with the terrifying threat of an atomic bomb. With Daredevil and Shanna captured, and the Black Widow under the Mandrill's mesmerizing influence, hope seems lost for any defense. In a desperate move, Daredevil breaks through the mental control gripping Black Widow, and the heroic trio unites for a last-ditch effort to stop the Mandrill and save the nation. Their final stand pits them against impossible odds to prevent catastrophic destruction.
