The pill-popping anti-hero Cal McDonald is back on the sin-infested streets, dealing with the rising tide of occult threats in Los Angeles. Teaming up with his undead partner Mo'Lock, Cal is committed to doing the right thing, even as he faces his own downward spiral and the darkness in his soul. Protecting the city from zombies, vampires, and other things that go bump in the night is a messy business, but it's one Cal can't seem to quit.
