Chapel successfully ends his conflict with Black by destroying both his human body and a powerful statue, narrowly escaping the area via helicopter. Inspired by Black's magical prowess, the anti-hero decides his next move is to seek out his former teammate, Al Simmons, better known as the powerful vigilante Spawn. Meanwhile, Chapel finds himself restrained inside a high-tech facility filled with stasis pods, including one holding Jackson's daughter, as his old enemy Giger reveals his presence. Chapel hopes to learn the secrets of Spawn's powers, setting up a confrontation with his former comrade.
