Captain America arrives in the treacherous city of Madripoor, rushing to rescue his kidnapped ally, Diamondback, who is being held captive in a dangerous trap set by the villainous Crossbones. Meanwhile, the novice crimefighter Vagabond finds herself ensnared in a separate plot when she is forced by the nefarious Dr. Karl Malus to break into the Power Broker's home and obtain his fingerprints, facing a deadly consequence if she fails. These intertwined threats challenge the heroes as they grapple with danger and moral compromise on different fronts.
