Poor Dagwood finds himself in a series of comedic misadventures, starting with a disastrous attempt at plumbing repairs that leaves him with a flashlight stuck firmly in his mouth. Later, a simple trip to the doctor for Blondie's prescription turns complicated when the physician mistakenly believes the clumsy husband is the one in need of treatment. Meanwhile, another day is ruined when Dagwood faces the painful consequences of forgetting to put away a ladder before settling down for a relaxing bath.
