Bane has broken free from Blackgate Prison, stripped of his super-strength after kicking his crippling addiction to Venom. Now armed only with his honed intellect and savage physical prowess, the former mastermind returns to Gotham with a single goal: to shut down the street source of the drug that once controlled him. However, his mission forces a brutal collision with the Dark Knight, who is also hunting the venom distributor, leading Bane to claim he is an innocent man. This quest for redemption pits the newly-changed villain against his greatest adversary once more.
