The Dark Knight is violently transported to the futuristic metropolis of Mega-City One, where he immediately clashes with the ruthless lawman, Judge Dredd. When Gotham's Scarecrow appears in this strange new world, the two hardline crime-fighters must put aside their differences to capture the villain and deal with the psychic Judge Anderson's terrifying mental prisoner, Death. Although initially ready to arrest Batman, Judge Dredd ultimately acknowledges the masked vigilante's formidable nature, implying a reluctant respect as the heroes go their separate ways.
