Trouble surfaces as military crafts from Oumland relentlessly attack the Atlantean city of Poseidonis, eventually shattering its protective dome. While terrestrial sea life exhibits strange behavior, Aquaman investigates the conflict between Atlantis and Oumland, learning that the oceanic attacks are retaliatory. As the conflict escalates and international bodies refuse to intervene, Aquaman rushes toward the capital, only to be caught in a massive torpedo blast that destroys the city's dome. The protector of the seas must now face the devastating consequences of a war he barely saw coming.
