Haunted by fears of a hidden "time bomb" in his own mind, Peter Parker seeks the expertise of Dr. Seward Trainer for psychological aid. However, the doctor's help session is dramatically interrupted when the menacing new Doctor Octopus emerges, intent on claiming Dr. Trainer for her own sinister purposes. As Spider-Man fights to protect his ally and his own fragile sanity, he must confront a dangerous enemy who threatens to expose his deepest fears.
