Stranded on a remote tropical island, a desperate hero is forced into a final, no-holds-barred confrontation with his symbiotic adversary, Venom. Knowing he cannot defeat the monster directly, the web-slinger hatches a drastic plan: faking his own demise to finally secure peace. Believing his nemesis is dead, Venom agrees with the symbiote that their purpose is fulfilled, choosing to remain on the island indefinitely, leaving his foe free at last.
