A desperate race to the hospital for Aunt May's operation is violently interrupted when Spider-Man is captured by the Green Goblin. The confrontation is further complicated when Silvermane's mobsters attack the Goblin, accidentally freeing the web-slinger. During the chaos, both the Goblin's glider and Spider-Man's webbing fail, sending the combatants plunging toward the ground. The issue concludes with a shocking revelation in the Goblin's hideout: the mysterious hostage is an enraged Harry Osborn.
